Brimz was proud to create a custom hat presented to Willie O’Ree in celebration of his 90th birthday. O’Ree, who made history as the first Black player in the NHL, played for both the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The special gift was presented in Toronto as part of the Maple Leafs’ celebration of Black Excellence. We’re honoured to have been part of this meaningful moment, recognizing a true pioneer whose impact continues to inspire generations.
